RESUMEN SIMPOSIO INVITADO
Silence and
education. The unseen, the
unspoken, the untought in
educational relationship and
theory of education
This symposium wants to focus the
polyphony and polysemy of signs that
educational experiences have,
exploring how silence and language
allow our attempts to give meaning
(sense and intentionality)to
experience and existence, making sense
and promoting opportunities of freedom
and responsibility. This subject
(showing the multimeaning of silence,
that can be chosen, imposed, intimity
tacit understanding or
misunderstanding) will be explored by
different perspectives, getting
silence into an ecological perspective
of experience.
Some of the dimensions of the relation
between silence and education will be:
the value of listening, the meaning of
silence as expression, communication
and language, the silence as
aesthetical experience.
